Accessability Exhibition

To live with dignity, regardless of disability, is a human right according to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. With this in mind, the exhibition highlights the lives of 22 ordinary people of all ages from Turkey and Sweden living with disability. Through their intimate stories we get an understanding of the challenges that they face and their demands to take a full, equal and dignified role in society at large.

Erişiyorsam Varım! / AccessAbility Exhibition, is a co-production by the Swedish Institute, Ruh Sağlığında İnsan Hakları Girişimi Derneği (RUSİHAK), Engelli Kadın Derneği (ENGKAD) and the section for Cultural Affairs at the Swedish Consulate.

The exhibition can be visited between 23-30 May 2016 at Goethe Institut Ankara. For all portraits and their stories, audio description is provided. Visitors who are blind or have visual impairment will have the opportunity to use headsets to listen to audio descriptions of the visual materials.

It would be a great pleasure for us to meet you at the exhibition!
