Winners are Announced for Competition Without Barriers

The winners of Competition Without Barriers have been announced on 20th of October at Goethe-Institut Ankara.

Sevim Gözay, writer and journalist, presented the Award Ceremony night. Something Useful won the Audience Award with 696 audiences’ votes. İrfan Altıntaş, the friend of Pelin Esmer and Barış Bıçakçı received the award from the festival follower Esra Güleç.

The Festival’s jury, actress Nursel Köse, director Ramin Matin and film critic Murat Özer decided the Best Script, the Best Director and the Best Film awards.

Written and directed by Ümit Ünal, Serial Cook won the Best Script award. The producer of the film, Sinan Yagbu Ünal received the award from the director of the AFF, Emrah Kalan.

Tayfun Pirselimoğlu won the Best Director award. The producer of the film, Vildan Erşen received the award from Klappe Auf! Short FF’s director, Andreas Grützner.

The Best Film ward went to Snow. The director of the film, Emre Erdoğdu received the award from co-director of Klappe Auf! Short FF, Kathrin Mersman.

AFF 18 came to an end with the screening of Unrest at Contemporary Arts Center last night.
