On the last day of Eskişehir, the Festival hosted Sinan Yusufoğlu, executive producer of The Announcement and Banu Sıvacı, director of The Pigeon which were both included in the Competition Without Barriers program.
Answered the questions of the audience after the screening of The Announcement, Yusufoğlu said that they waited for a long time to shoot the film because of the July 15 coup attempt which took place during the last production process of the film and that making a black humor film worried the film crew.
Banu Sıvacı also came together with the audience after the screening of her film The Pigeon. As an answer of a question of “Did you tell the story of a suppressed character in this movie?”, she said “Everyone faces suppression for different reasons in their lives. We are not born like this. It would be a great gain for me if the audience question their opinions, whether they really belong to them or not.”
Another question which was asked was “What do you think about the the audio description of the film?”, Sıvacı answered “The audience experience the film by listening the details that I do not even notice. While watching the film, there were moments when I told myself that how well the emotions in the film were described.”
