What's in the Competition Without Barriers?

The critically acclaimed productions from Turkish cinema are included in Competition Without Barriers as usual.

The Anouncement directed by Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun, a film about the extraordinary journey of four former soldiers which lasts one night; The Pigeon directed by Banu Sıvacı, a film about the confrontation of the realities of life with a young man who spends his time dealing with pigeons; Saf directed by Ali Vatansever, focusing on the changing lives of a couple living in the shanty after the rumors of urban transformation in the neighborhood; Sibel directed by Çağla Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti which tells the story of a mute young girl and Yuva directed by Emre Yeksan in which the director tells the story of a man who left the city life and started to live in the forest will be screened in Eskişehir, İstanbul and Ankara. You can select the winner of the Audience Award by voting after the screenings.

The Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay awards will be given by three members on the selection committee; art director Natali Yeres, producer Yonca Ertürk and film critic Burak Göral. The Award Ceremony will be held at Goethe-Institut Ankara on Saturday, October 19th, and will be presented by Melikşah Altuntaş.
