“You only take responsibility for what you love.”

Banu Sıvacı, the director of The Pigeon and Kemal Burak Alper, actor in the same film answered the questions of the audience after the screening of their film.

Kemal Burak Alper was asked what it was like to portray the character of Yusuf. Alper stated that he plays a character who shows the sufferings everybody deals with and that he is happy to perform someone who struggles to be himself. When discussing about the people who have been dragged into unhappiness because of the societal assertiveness, Alper said, “You only take responsibility for what you love.”
