Cinephiles know: Short is Different!

The Festival, which we will follow from the screens, not from the curtain, is approaching. Films are prepared for screenings. Descriptions are written, translations are made... We have started the preparations with short and will introduce them to you.

In the "Long & Short of It" section, which has been on the program since the first year, we offer you what we like the most among the short films from Turkey each year. This year there are 10 short films under this title;

13+, which is the first part of Ceylan Özgün Özçelik's new trilogy that will start with a short film that blends horror and drama and end with a feature length that will blend fantastic and dark comedy genres,

A short animation of Gürkan Gürler, which visualizes psychological problems and drug effects in a surreal world with abstract experimental animation techniques, Hunger,

Octopus, where Engin Erden tells the story of two friends aged 8 and 9 on the beach on a hot summer day,

Aries, Dila Bulut's film focusing on the story of a woman trying to adapt to the world of men,

Wild Grass, in which Doğuş Minsin tells the story of the Aytuğ character, who has reached a breaking point after his experiences,

Hello Afrika, Hasan Serin's film about two little girls named Esma and Serpil living in a village in Bingöl,

A Hard Day in the Empire, in which Sezen Kayhan tells the story of Cansu, who had to manage the art department of a historical series on her own,

Enis Manaz's film Butterfly Man, which focuses on the life of Abdurrahim, whose life changed with the butterflies he saw on his neighbor's TV,

Destroy Yourself Only in Yourself, in which Nihan Belgin included the pains of existence of a young woman who had to spend her time at home during the pandemic,

Ahmet Toğaç's film Eavesdropper, which tells about Selamet, who works in the old power plant of the company on the eve of moving to a big center, spending all day listening to the phone calls of people he does not know.

We also recommend that you do not miss the interviews with the directors after the screenings. Don't forget to follow our social media accounts! See you at the festival!
