The favorite selection of young cinephiles, For Children, awaits to meet future movie enthusiasts with seven wonderful animations. Inviting to new adventures in colorful worlds, the selection will bring together young audiences on a magical journey at Accessible Film Festival will be held between June 7th to 13th.
Featuring last year's Best Short Animation winner at the International Lanzarote Film Festival, "Home Office," which tells the story of 10-year-old Lily's experiences during the pandemic days spent at home;
Winner of the Children's Audience Award at the Premiers Plans Festival, narrates the long journey of a giant box, introducing us to colorful characters along the way "What's In That Crate?";
"To Be Sister" which depicts the unique relationship between two sisters and won the Young Audience Jury Award at the 2023 Annecy Animation Festival, considered one of the world's most important animation festivals;
"Harvey," returning with awards for Best Short Animation from the 2023 Anim'Est and Rhode Island International Film Festival, where we witness an ordinary moment leading to extraordinary changes;
"The Goose" which excites us with a child battling his formidable opponent in his backyard while dreaming of becoming a star footballer playing in giant stadiums like most children;
"Pond," which tells the story of a small herring fish lost from its herd and has been awarded as the best short animation at various festivals;
and "Andersland" which brings to life the adventures of a group of peculiar animals playing hide and seek in vast meadows with an entertaining narrative style,
the Accessible Film Festival 2024 invites those eager to set sail for new adventures filled with imagination to the For Children selection.
The selection will also meet with the audience at the Autism Friendly Screening, which will be held to enable children and young people with autism to watch comfortably.
