Festival Events
The event program included a Stop Motion Animation Workshop for film enthusiasts aged 9-12, an Autism Friendly Screening planned in consideration of the needs of children and young people with autism, and an open air screening of Those Awakening in the Dark in memory of the master actress Ayla Algan, who passed away this year.
On Wednesday, June 12 at 15:00, sports fans will not want to miss a talk titled The Unforgettable Director of Sports Films: Jørgen Leth. The event, which will be organized with the participation of sports writer and cycling narrator İnan Özdemir from the Socrates Magazine team, will take place after the screening of A Sunday in Hell at the Goethe-Institut at 13:00. The screening of A Sunday in Hell and a talk entitled The Unforgettable Director of Sports Films: Jørgen Leth will be free of charge.
In addition, starting today, screenings of the films in the National Feature Film Competition and the Short Film Competition will be followed by interviews with the film crews.
Awards will be presented on June 13th
The jury members of the National Feature Film Competition will select the winners of the Best Director and Jury awards, along with an award to be determined by category, while the winner of the Audience Award will be determined by the audience with the votes they cast after the screenings, as they do every year. The audience can also cast their votes with ballots printed in Braille.
The winners of the Best Film award, which will be supported with 1000 USD and determined by the jury members of the Short Film Competition, the Best Director award, the Best Screenplay award and the Audience Award, which will also be determined by the audience votes, will be announced at the award ceremony to be held on Thursday, June 13 at 19:30 at the Goethe-Institut and presented by Ege Kayacan.
