For Children: The Last Whale Singer and Autism-Friendly Screening

It shows animation characters in a magical underwater world adorned with shimmering blue lights. On the right side of the image, a huge gray whale and an orca swimming side by side are looking towards a cute dolphin watching them on the left, and the brightly glowing pink-and-blue jellyfish. In the background, rocks on the seafloor and glowing plants are visible.

The Accessible Film Festival opens its doors on April 24 at Goethe-Institut Ankara. Running until April 30, the festival’s "For Children" section features the award-winning animation The Last Whale Singer, which follows the ocean-saving adventure of Vincent, an orphaned whale, and his deaf orca friend, Darya. This free screening is made accessible to all children with Turkish dubbing and Turkish captioned options.

The film's second screening will be held as an Autism-Friendly Screening, specifically designed to meet the needs of children and young people with autism. During this special session, the house lights are kept dimmed, the volume is lowered, and viewers are welcome to move around freely within the cinema hall.
