Bahman Ghobadi
Born in 1969 in the city of Bane, Iran. He worked in a radio during his education, then joined the film directors' group as a young amateur in Sanadaj and started making short films with them. Between 1995-1999, he directed 10 short films that won awards in many national and international competitions. Ghobadi won the Golden Camera Award, Young Cinema Award and the FIPRESCI Award at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival with his film Time for Drunken Horses.
