Mehdi Idir

Following his 2007 video "Paris By Light," Mehdi Idir stepped into the world of advertising and television. His close friendship with the slam poet Grand Corps Malade paved the way for him to direct several music videos. In 2015, inspired by one of his songs, he directed his first short film, "Le Bout du tunnel." Shot in black and white using a subjective camera technique, the film won the Best Fiction Film award at the Paris Urban Film Festival.
