Mete Gümürhan

Mete Gümürhan was born in Rotterdam in 1975. In 2009, he graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in the Netherlands. In 2007, while still a student, he founded Kaliber Film and produced and co-produced many award-winning short and feature films. Gümürhan made his directorial debut with ‘Genç Pehlivanlar’, which had its world premiere in the Generation Kplus section of the 66th Berlin Film Festival and won a Special Mention Award at the festival. ‘Beraber’, which had its world premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2023, is the director's first feature-length fiction film.
