Mike Newell
Mike Newell was born in 1942 in St. Albans. He finished his studies at Cambridge University, after which he got a job at Grenada Television. For a long time, Newell was known for directing popular TV series. The peak of his career is the romantic comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), which enjoyed huge popularity around the world. After this film, Newell started a big Hollywood career with films Donnie Brasco (1997), Pushing Tin (1999), Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
