Nuri Bilge Ceylan

Born in 1959 in Istanbul. He studied at Boğaziçi University, Department of Electrical Engineering. Having an interest in photography during his student years, Ceylan studied cinema at Mimar Sinan University and shot his first film Cocoon in 1995.
