Guernica is a Spanish town where farmers live. During the Spanish Civil War, the dictator Franco, allowed the Nazi forces to test their new war planes in Guernica town, so he thought he would take the lead in the region and made a gesture to the Germans. The bombings were in the scale that has not been witnessed until that time in Guernica and after the bombardment, there was a huge massacre in the town. Picasso, who was in France in the same time, did not stay silent and painted Guernica which is the World's most important anti-war painting. This picture represents the destruction of the war and what it leaves behind, and it also represent all of us, our lives. When a person is in peaceful greenery one moment, she can find herself in a black and white war as Guernica in the next one.
