The cargo ship named Sarmaşık (Ivy) sets sails to Mediterranean for embarking goods in Egypt. When the ship arrives in Egypt, it turns out that the owner of the ship did not paid for the port and he went bankrupt. So, the ship is contained at the port and few crew members must stay on board in case of a need to move the ship. Several members with various responsibilities agree to stay behind with differing reasons. In time groupings results in serious dispute, and as they run low on food, fights erupt. Sarmaşık turns into a place where man hunts man.
