The film tells how the the relationship of a young couple engaged to be married changes by time. Gil is in love with Inez, however they are the from different worlds. Gil wants to write a novel following the footsteps of the writers he admires. On the other hand, Inez who is in fond of social status and money is over attached to her conservative parents. While Gil falls in love with the magical world of Paris, Paris becomes an entertaining place where he meets his imaginary friends after midnight.
