The rural landowner Agha who lives in South Eastern Anatolia sells all his land and villages, except one, Haraptar, during a severe draught and puts all his hopes in this last village. However, Haraptar is also suffering from the draught. He has no choice but to immigrate to Istanbul. But being an Agha means absolutely nothing in the city.
